Who Gets Booked at the Pinellas County Jail

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) runs one jail for the whole county. An arrest by St. Petersburg Police, Clearwater Police, Largo Police or a sheriff’s deputy ends up here, in the Central Booking and Release area of the jail’s Central Division.

The jail has three divisions: Central (up to 1,000 inmates), South (about 1,600) and North (785 beds). Booking includes a medical screening, a photo, fingerprints, an ID card and a jail uniform. Any cash the person carries goes into their inmate account. PCSO charges most inmates a non-refundable $20 subsistence fee.

Pinellas County Inmate Search

Use the Sheriff’s official Who’s In Jail search. Get the inmate’s name, booking number and each charge and bond amount. You need these to post bond, add money or schedule a visit. You can also call Inmate Records at (727) 464-6415.

Can’t find them yet? Booking takes time. Call us at 727.902.6383 and we will check for you, free, any hour.

Pinellas County Bond Schedule: What Bond Will Be Set?

Many charges get a bond right away from the county’s uniform bond schedule. The current schedule, Administrative Order 2026-022 PI-CIR, runs through Dec 31, 2026. Some examples:

Charge typeScheduled bond
2nd-degree misdemeanor$150–$250
1st-degree misdemeanor, no force$500
1st-degree misdemeanor, with force$1,000
DUI (no damage, no prior DUI)$500

No bond until first appearance for:

  • Domestic violence charges
  • Violating a protective injunction
  • Any new arrest while on supervised pretrial release
  • DUI with property damage or a prior DUI

In those cases a judge sets the bond at first appearance. On weekdays, first appearance hearings generally begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Pinellas County Justice Center, 14250 49th St. N. On weekends and holidays an advisory judge is on duty there from 8:30 a.m. to about noon.
